Dashi is privacy-friendly analytics — closer to Plausible or Fathom than to ad trackers. We collect what’s needed to show site traffic and revenue attribution. We don’t sell visitor data or run cross-site advertising profiles.

What we collect from your site visitors

Page path, query string, and referrer; optional goals and revenue you fire yourself.

A first-party visitor id (browser localStorage + a SameSite cookie) so returning visits and Stripe attribution can line up.

Browser / OS / device from the user-agent, and coarse location (country, region, city) from the hosting edge — not a stored raw IP used as your analytics identity.

What we don’t do

No third-party ad cookies and no selling visitor data to advertisers.

No session replay or keystroke capture.

Bot traffic is filtered out of normal stats.

Your Dashi account

If you sign in, we store the profile and globe settings you choose (name, username, avatar, connected sites, privacy toggles).

Auth is handled by our auth provider; we keep the account link needed to load your globe.

You’re in control of sharing

New globes start private, and metrics stay owner-only until you open them up.

You choose what teammates and share-link guests can see.

Cookies & consent

The tracking script uses a first-party visitor cookie (and localStorage) for attribution — it isn’t cookieless like some privacy analytics tools.

If you need a consent banner for your audience, that’s still your call for your site and jurisdiction.

AI apps you connect

When you connect an AI app (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client) and approve it on Dashi’s sign-in screen, here’s what an approved app can read: your sites’ analytics — visitors, sources, pages, revenue with where each sale came from, goals, funnels, errors and live visitors. It can also add sites and choose which events count as conversion goals. It can’t see your Stripe or Search Console keys, delete sites or analytics data, or change your sharing, privacy or billing settings.

Dashi sends data only in answer to that app’s requests — dashi never sends your data to an AI app on its own. What the app does with the answers is covered by its own privacy policy.

From the AI icon on your globe, you can disconnect any app at any time, and its access stops immediately. We keep only hashed access tokens and when each app last connected.
